sure, i have sympathy. sympathy for his loved ones who are grieving his suicide. in a way, him and his girlfriend encouraged this senselessness by justifying, rationalizing, and defending these animals. while ignoring all statistics or facts; and blaming the environment, not the animal for the outcome.
this is no different than the pit bull owner who swears up and down they are kind and gentle animals. the statistics and facts are slander. and that it's the owner or the home, not the animal. no, not the animal. never the animal. then one day, out of the blue, is missing a chunk of their face.
