The wild part of their mindset is even doing things to proactive protect yourself and loved ones, like crossing the street, destroys their holier than thou mindset. If they protect themselves they are racist. Using prejudice is a self survival skill, not a bad thing. Pre-judging a situation saves lives.

If he had only told the guy look we're on your side then the stabber would have left them alone. Think how you want but in certain situations i'm going to be profiling people around me. It's called profiling for a reason. Self- preservation is a real thing.

Most of them have never been around actual black people while living in their 95% white enclaves. They sure do have no problem telling me what to do and say when I've lived and worked with black people my entire life living in two cities that are 50% black.

Thank you! I preach this to my kids all the time. Discrimination is a tool of the wise. I don't go into bars with rows of Harleys lined up out front and I don't hire people with sagging pants as my latex salesman. Natural repulsion is evolutionary wisdom we should all heed.
