This has nothing to do with politicians. its happening in Florida too. Businesses will always find way to cut costs.

Well, at least the cashiers don’t have to worry about getting jumped by the locals.

In the Philippines, yes they do.

This is what happens when the price of local labor is artificially skewed by the government
If only we could predict a decrease in the number of jobs by shifting the demand for labor curve one way and supply for labor curve in the other direction . . .

isn't there an expectation that jobs be filled with locals/citizens/inhabitants/residents
Restaurants found away to pay waiters as less as possible by making the consumer pay for most of their earnings. The virtual cashier is just part of the game. All I am saying is that this is how it is. People might not like it, but its reality.

Okay, I'm brain stuttering over this language.
Is it a "virtual" cashier? This is about an actual human being, acting as cashier, over a zoom connection, right?

Doesn’t matter. The losers who expect to live in NYC on a dishwasher salary will have the local politicians up in arms.

Wrong. They need to pay decent wages to Americans. This should be illegal.

Lol there is absolutely nothing good about this for Americans and it’s retarded to even try and pretend otherwise
Its a cashier job, they probably got tired of replacing someone every 2 weeks.

How many people you think are wanting that cashier job?

In a city of 9 million I’d say there’s probably a couple teenagers / young adults that would take that job but who knows

My cousin had a damned good job as a cashier in a NYC bagel shop until a one-legged Filipino on Zoom took it away from him.

It will never not be funny how a board that is overwhelmingly populated by the poorest states in the union can watch something like this and say it’s a good thing because it happens to be happening in a democrat city/state so it’s libs getting pwnt.
Just about every one of you growing up knew neighbors / family that had their manufacturing job outsourced to Mexico/China. There are some genuinely troubling developments in the not so distant future that will be insurmountable for a good chunk of Americans

Pretty soon the face on the screen won't even be a person and they won't have to pay it anything.

Boycott this business and outlaw this crap. Stop replacing Americans with cheap foreign labor.
