The New York auto show is this week. Small crossovers are a hot commodity now, so there will be a lot of new product for that market segment revealed this week along with some sedans.
Hyundai Sonata sedan
VW Tarok concept truck
Cadillac CT5 sports sedan
Audi RS8
Ford Escape (compact)
Chevrolet Trax (sub-compact)
The new mid-engine Corvette will not be there, but Chevrolet has been driving a camo version of it around NYC lately with the reveal date printed on the door.

I may have to pop in there.

This looks like it would be more aerodynamic if you drove it in reverse:
The R8's for about the last 10 years have been roughly a $150k car. I would not spend $150k on the car in this picture, or rather there are other cars I'd spend $150k on before this one.

Outside of the coming Corvette and the Jeep Gladiator reveal that happened a few months back, there does not seem to be much anticipation for exciting cars/trucks.
We are in a non-exciting place in the auto-industry

You can thank the average American’s infatuation of the crossover for that

The new 2021 Ford Bronco is the only thing to look forward to. Everything else is just bland generic looking crossovers.

We are somewhere between ‘build cheap gas cars’ and ‘electric self-driving cars’ so there’s not much new.
If it were full bore Detroit Iron, that would be cool. But it’s not. If it were all high-tech self-driving cars, that would be cool, but it’s not.
It seems like, with few exceptions, it’s small, cheap gas cars.

I hope they do it right. They have been rumoring this for like a decade.
Jeep Wrangler and now Gladiator need some damn competition.
I hope the Bronco slaps a V8 in there

that Sonata is sexy as frick for a midsize, non-luxury sedan

Yep, they are gonna sell a shitload of those things.
Nice looking car. I've never been in a Hyundai. Are they well put together cars or do they start rattling after 10,000 miles?

Hyundai really has been doing well on their designs

Waste of time by Cadillac IMO.
They will never beat the Germans at this.

That's what happens when you hire some of BMW and Audis best engineers and designers.

Didn't Kia do the same thing?

Hyundai and Kia are the same company.

I like the Gladiator myself but I hate the full size truck price

Yep.
They are sister companies, so I'm not sure if they are shared or if they have their own.
