Plus, as the article points out, Jews are about 2% of the population... young people are noticing their outsized impact in various ways.

Kinda like another demographic that has a small population percentage footprint but an outsized role.

Right?

If a group that small demands that much attention and focus, it might be indicative that the group is a frickin problem.

I believe the reason for this is that TPTB have painted anyone not in line with what the Israeli government does as being anti semitic and people begin associating the Jewish people with Israel’s military actions.

When I stories like these, I always wonder why folks are anti-Semitic. Of course they never say.. perhaps it is because the media, our government and Israel itself conflate Judiaism with Israel. Today criticism of Israeli foreign policy or military action gets you branded an anti-Semite.

I have no problem with the average reformed Jewish guy in my community, but I absolutely detest the nation of Israel and the way they conduct domestic and foreign policy. I detest Iran just as much Israel. I don’t care for Theocratic governments in general. I guess that makes me an anti-Semite in the eyes of many.

Probably the whole "Israel bombing children's hospitals" thing.

And controlling the media...driving divisiveness across the country. It's getting way too hard to ignore.

This strikes me as a very plausible explanation. The younger cohorts are *significantly* more Arab, Asian, etc *and* more likely to be foreign born than older cohorts, and we know that, generally, Arabs and other adjacent groups have historically been anti-Jew. The researcher in the link below says his data shows it’s not that the youth are more anti Jew, it’s that the youth are more foreign and eastern-world than older Americans

This is not what the authors of the research you cited concluded. In fact, it's almost the exact opposite conclusion they propose: that American anti-semitism is home grown and not concentrated in segments of the population other than the under 25 population.

The craziest part of this is that Muslims religious beliefs are more in line with our accepted Catholic ideals than Jewish beliefs.

Muslims teach about the virgin birth, they refer to Jesus as the Messiah and teach of the miracles he performed, and believe in his 2nd coming. To put it lightly, none of that is in the Torah....(I do mean lightly.)

I don't say this to sway anyone into thinking that Muslims are necessarily friends of Christians, its more to say that neither Jews nor Muslims are friends of Christians. There is no such thing as a Judeo-Christian camaraderie, its an archaic term that referred to Jews who adopted Christian beliefs while maintaining a Jewish identity.

They both see Christians as lesser than, and neither believe that Christ is the Son of God. Jewish faith out and out says that Jesus was a false prophet and is boiling in excrement until the end of times. If you read that as an 18-25 year old, I'd have to think it would at least somewhat change how you view these two sects.

I don't really give a shite about Palestine, but to see Israel doing to palestinians what they have endlessly complained about the Germans doing to them in the 1940s is unexplainable. America first means America first. Pull out of the middle east and let them sleep in the bed they have made over the past 70 years by attacking every neighboring country. This is the sentiment of my younger cohorts, and I do not believe wanting what is best for our country to be in any way anti-semetic.

Might have something to do with the following (This is just in the last 3 days)

Bondi Beach shooting
Brown shooting by Muslim

and....yet another planned attack to murder innocent people.

4 arrested in NYE terror plot to bomb LA and New Orleans

quote:

vAccording to Patel, the Louisiana suspect was “planning a separate violent attack,” but he did not say whether it was intended for California, Louisiana, or somewhere else.

The FBI said the Los Angeles suspects were members of the Turtle Island Liberation Front, "a far-left, pro-Palestine, anti-government, and anti-capitalist group," according to the Department of Justice. The suspects, Audrey Illeene Carroll, 30; Zachary Aaron Page, 32; Dante Gaffield, 24; and Tina Lai, 41—all from the Los Angeles area, were arrested while allegedly assembling a bomb the Mojave Desert, according to First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli.

But yeah, let's pretend the left isnt' violently anti-semitic.
