Im mixed on the move. I didn't even know they paid for DJs until this news broke. Just have never been on that section of the route.

That said I thought it was a good move that was poorly executed. Her CAO saying it at the council meeting was probably a bad way of having the press release too. Sounded a little half baked while it was happening.

She forced latoya by law to pay it to performers

Celebrated that she was putting money into the community that the administration wasn’t spending

And then pointed at it as frivolous spending by the previous administration that is an obvious target for cuts once elected.

I don’t think it’s something that we should mandate in the first place and do think the optics of how it was managed were awful to anybody following the story from the inceptio.

I hear you.

I think it would have been better just to cancel the music if your options were a Spotify Playlist or amateur DJs.

Enough of them on the route that can get annoying.

failed to recall her

A big reason for this is the Clerk of court threw out a huge amount of signature pages because the pages didn't have "Recall Petition of Latoya Cantrell" on the page.

That is the fault of whoever got the pages and failed to fill in required information before making copies.

It was a stupid mistake which was overlooked.

If only that hadn't happened...

The fact that the citizens elected that shite stain twice, and failed to recall her is mind boggling.

It was a measure that she stumped on loudly like 18 months ago. To turnabout in her first week and imply volunteers were needed - it was poor form.

Yeah, well that was probably before she realized she'd be inheriting a 220+ million-dollar deficit. shite happens.

I was just amazed at how many people were critically commenting on her comments like she did something awful when we just had some beligerant bitch in office for 8 years who fricked over the city in every possible way. I'm not the biggest Moreno fan, but I could see that she was trying to do considering the huge deficit issue.

People keep saying this when she was ON THE COUNCIL FOR YEARS. And she knew what the budget was BECAUSE she helped create it every freaking year

She wasn't competent enough to steal and keep the money. Don't give her undue credit.

Thankfully a lot of those same people are lazy and don’t take the time to go vote.

You can tell by me being pissed Jeff Landry failed to keep her from being elected.

Dude went from fricking the city for the Cannizzaro's to fricking the state.
