Amazing logic.

Also, they have Tulsa, Oklahoma listed in their top 25. When did Oklahoma become part of the south?

And it sucks. Very boring place.

Food and entertainment are great. The crime in New Orleans would prevent me from moving there though.

My brother is a Pels season ticket holder. His drivers side glass got busted in the parking garage during a game. His sunglasses and a pack of gum were all he lost. The next game, the same thing happened to the rental he had while his glass was getting fixed.

Well sure, but my point is that any major international city has pockets of crime that tourists should avoid.

New Orleans is more of a case of small pockets of tourism surrounded by crime.

Even then, bourbon street isn't exactly safe, is it?

Pay $100 to park in the garage... get your windows busted out.

New Orleans is like a hot girl with the herp because she’s such a whore.

Yeah, she’s really good looking; but at the end of the day, she’s a whore who had an incurable disease.

Come on now. Most are cured with a short course of antibiotics. Indulge, baw.

Nah, it’s terrible and overcrowded up there. Everyone should avoid it at all costs

Best cities. First sentence in the article from SL states “high energy getaway”

Pretty sure Nola fits that bill exactly. Say what you want about crime going on around the city but it will always be a cool place for a weekend trip. Hang around the tourist spots. Around 11 PM you head to the hotel bar to close out the night. Absolutely nothing bad there.

Random bystanders don’t get murdered. Drunk, a holes get murdered. Always believed this. Been to Nola countless times and never had a single conflict.

It used to be you could avoid the crime ridden areas. But that’s no longer the case anymore. You can’t even go to mandinas for lunch without the risk of a shootout happening.

Best city for what? Host a large event? Go out eating? See live music? Start a business? Raise a family?

All require different environments

Having lived there for a few years and visited fairly often you are never truly safe out and about anywhere in Nola. Never more than a few blocks from potential violent crime. Unless we talking old Metairie then your are more or less safe there.

mean look, I live in NOLA, but that is pretty absurd. If FLorida counts as the South there are probably 5 cities in Florida alone that are better places to live.

I went to the southern living website and can’t find the ballot used for data generation, but reading some of the reviews of other cities I think this is a list of best cities to visit

It's not the best city if you love watching pro baseball.
