You’re just uninformed which is totally okay.

Just frustrating as frick when so much information is readily available. A quick google search shows those prices are in line with projects of similar scope.

They still need to move the damn rental cars on premise, or at least have a few options. It's one of the worst rental car airports I've been to.

Vegas is just as bad. You have to get on a bus to get to the rental car place off site. Plus the taxi cab lobby stopped the monorail from going to the airport. Elon maybe bringing the loop down to the Vegas airport but still a few years off. Vegas also built a terminal that is only accessible via an underground tram.

All that planning, and you are walking through the traffic to get to the parking garage… full time crossing guards needed… rather than an elevated walkway.

So 2 new terminals. Where are all these planes going to go with only 2 runways?

Are more gates really needed. I feel like most of the time you fly into msy there are many empty gates. It doesn’t seem like an airport that needs 50% more gates.

It does need another parking structure and to relocate rental car to the new terminal.

I have no idea what one does with the old terminal. I guess those are good ideas?

So inform me why the frick it cost so much.

How about a link or something, if you don’t have time to type a response.

Its rare to say something about being "the best" when it comes to something in New Orleans...but MSY is one of, if not the best airport I've flown through in the past few years.

Good to know. Next month I have a trip and planned on using the economy garage, should I just bite the bullet and use Park USA on Vets.

If I book 3 weeks out, it is nearly the same as economy if I pay in advance.

Can we not have to take a bus 20-30 minutes to the old terminal to rent a car. Dumbest shite ever.

MSY ranks like 40th in the country in terms of total airport traffic. Definitely doesn’t warrant an expansion.

My last 3 flights were from terminal A. Direct to Cancun, London and Minneapolis.

How can the state and MSY plan an airport and already have to change up things. As usual, they plan backwards. Built an airport and then decide to do something with the roads. After that move, I can't trust anybody from State of LA or MSY with any plans.

I support it as long as whoever was in charge of building the current terminal is in charge of it again.

I had the complete opposite take. A high schooler could have designed a better pick up area. Having traffic stop for both pick ups AND people walking across to get to the parking garage is close to the worst in the country. Something as simple as what SAN had at the Southwest terminal (i haven’t been since the renovations were completed) with an elevated pedestrian walkway would cure a lot of. And they want to add MORE gates before addressing that? Lol ok. Keep me posted.

Dishonorable mention: the most uncomfortable toilet seats you could sit on.

For airports my motto is the smaller the better. Key West airport for example love it!

msy is actually a pretty decent airport

Yea it’s decent, except for the parking, and security, and shitty New Orleans staff service, and rental cars. Which is a majority of the experience
