I was under the impression it was.
What gave you that impression? I know you only have half as many eyes as a normal person, but I’m not sure that explains having reading comprehension and critical thinking skills at 50% as well.

Someone told me earlier they saw on FB that someone said that it looked like someone turned off the faucet going into New Orleans because there was hardly anyone going into the city.

They lied to you. Traffic is still properly fricked.

What exactly does that mean? Did people stop using I-10?

Anyone been to Harrahs?
I was thinking about visiting just to see how deserted it is with checkpoint Charlie in the basement checking for more than just ID’s.
It has been about year or 2 since “paying” them a visit.
One day a long time ago, I had to bring a parent to jury duty at Federal Court and my dad and I skipped out to the casino while my mom waited to be called and then dismissed.
That place on a week day was depressing back then and the crowds were very thin.
I can’t imagine how it is now.

That's pretty sad.
Well at least I can Pat myself on the back. Since this all started I haven't worn a mask one time, haven't spent a single dime on any business in Orleans Parish, haven't watched any major league sports, haven't got a vaccine and only bought two or three things from China because there were no other choices

Some estimate it could instigate 20% more business closures (after a year that saw massive closings)

New Orleans is still living off its reputation from when it was 70% white in the first half of the 20th century
And now it's like 85% white and somehow it's worse. Might have something to do with that 85% being a softer target than the 70% that were living there before.

August is usually "coolinary" month in new orleans because it is the slowest time in the tourist and restaurant business. Alot of restaurants take a 2 week break as well during this time
Wrong. They do this in July during the Essence Festival.

I smell a transplant who lives in the Bywater and only eats at some new falafel vegan place

There was a small protest last summer. But none of the council actually goes to city hall anymore. They moved all the council meetings to zoom, and residents aren't allowed input on anything they do anymore. They just do whatever they want.

Lester believes everyone who disgrees with Latoyas city destroying policies doesn't live here or is some sock puppet. That's what happens when you come from some echo chamber like Facebook or twitter.
