Investors who bought real estate in NoLA right after Katrina have done (for the most part) extremely well.

After this Ida debacle, do you think this presents another good opportunity to invest in New Orleans, as it always seems to bounce back?

Or is this time different?

Dude your best bet is to open a wig shop! Cha-ching!

Sorry my post triggered so many.

The question had nothing to do with being insensitive or predatory. It had to do with showing that historically NoLA isn’t a place one should give up on so quickly.

This isn’t a rebuild like Katrina tho. It’s more of a infrastructure rebuild than that of personal property

You should give up so quickly on this insincere backpedaling because it sure as shite isn’t working.

It’s sad to know there are garbage human beings out there like you who’s first thought is how to make a buck off of a tragedy. Since this is clearly an alter, can we ban this IP address now?

You insensitive, selfish sob. Unfortunately, I am afraid you are pretty successful with that uncaring attitude. There is more than just the f’n sale. Have a miserable death!

If you can find a house as close to the superdome as possible, for a good price.. You can do well if you turn it into a B&B.

But before you do that, you should check what areas allow you to have a B&B all year, part of the year and so on..

A friend of mine bought a house in NO several years ago and turned it into a B&B.. About 1.5 years later the location the house is in was put in a zone that only allowed B&Bs to operate for 6 months (which I think is from March - August)..

But during the other 6 months, although he doesn't list it on AirBNB, he depends on word of mouth and still does pretty good. Every Saints home game he has someone renting it, then in December between the New Orleans Bowl, Sugar Bowl and New Years he has people who rents it.. Its just that if it was on AirBnB it cost him a lot of weekday business.
