Northshore school that my kids go to has always taken a specific grade to the WW2 museum until this year. They’re concerned about crime in general, but more specifically the interstate shooter.

I’m sure teedy is happy. Less whitey driving around in her town. How bad does it have to get?

I’m ready to leave LA tbh. It’s disgusting. Nowhere is truly safe for long when the criminals run loose with no repercussions

Kids today are soft. Back in my day we were lucky if we only got shot at on our field trips!

What school?

Living in fear is one thing, living in fear of something that doesn't really exist is some next level absurdity.

Hell, they have a better chance of getting hurt in a car wreck than being a victim of the mythical "ye-snipa"

ETA- to be clear, New Orleans is a shite hole of violence right now, I'm just not buying a single "sniper" targeting people on the interstate. Some fantasy land story concocted by a zealous reporter.

If you are serious, that is comical.

Just take them yourself. It will be a great experience for the whole family. While I don’t condone going to NOLA, I do think that a place like the WW2 museum is a place everyone should experience and learn from. That place is one saving grace in that shithole of a city.

That sounds more like they simply didn’t want to take the kids this year. Shame, the museum is nice.

i doubt there is any end in sight to the increased crime and blight in the city, because the residents seem content based on their voting choices.

They're really trying to downplay that shite. NOLA.com wrote an article calling the shootings "relatively infrequent" but an accompanying chart showed there had been 26 in the last year or something.

I mean, define "infrequent"

Do you really think there is a homey that is targeting random people on the interstate?

There's nothing in New Orleans worth getting shot over.

Do you really think there have been 26 thug on thug interstate shootings in a year? Including a number of people that didn't at all seem to be living the gangsta lifestyle?

Teedy don’t care, but I for one am happy to have less Northshore trash clogging up the streets

id guess well over 100K vehicles drive through that I-10 stretch daily.

You have a better chance of hitting the Louisiana lotto than being shot on I-10 but don’t let a couple facts ruin a good triggering

Hasn't there been a cop, young married couple and a college student among the people shot? That doesn't sound like hood violence to me.

I'm not saying a number of them weren't likely rap beef related either.
