Someone was just murdered.
Sorry your streak of people not getting murdered in new orleans didn’t last long.

WDSU Investigates found the department arrested 69 drunk drivers last year, in 2018 it was nearly 600 arrests, and it was double that in 2014.
Look at how many less people are committing crimes.
That number should be lower this year.

Just for the record, NPD just purchased a new software system earlier this year, I think their old one is falling apart.
Statistics reporting is probably fubar

Are you familiar with uber?
New Orleans had taxis, the bus, street car. I’ve used all of them to avoid drinking and driving.
I guess just that many people aren’t drinking and driving. Forget the fact I saw daily people leaving the bar and driving off.
So my buddy’s vehicle was involved in a hit and run. Called the cops, cops don’t show up. No report taken. I guess that means it wasn’t a crime.

I do think crime is down from the high of covid. Directly related to teens not having shite to do. I am also not ready to do a victory lap for New Orleans because the police say less crimes were reported.

so you think they were capturing everything before, but not now?

i’m not sure why you’re making it racial but putting that aside yes you want to make it seem worse than it actually is for political purposes. Either that or you really are so dumb as to think you know everything about a city you don’t live in because tucker carlson told you so.
It’s because your side lets the race of the criminal, the miscreant, the troublemaker, determine his culpability.
If white youths had made New Orleans into a city known for murder and lawlessness, under the supervision of a white mayor, you would have no problem with draconian measures to stop it. You wouldn’t be on here downplaying it.
You’ve been lying to yourself your whole life. Get honest.

Don’t we have a state police Troop NOLA now that’s solely there to patrol NOLA in addition to NOPD?
Is this correct?

So crime just returned to pre George Floyd levels and that’s a win?
The democrats have a lot of blood on their hands. They were encouraging riots and defunding the police. Lots of people died.

That's the lowest levels it's been since the early 70s, so yes
Crime was terrible from the mid-70s until the early-90s and started falling dramatically after that

Well those were historic lows themselves so yes

New Orleans crime continues to plummet
That is awesome news , I hate black-Democratic politics and politicians, but I am glad the city is having a reduction in violent crime. Also, I think that just before Covid, back at the end of 2019, New Orleans had its safest year since the 1970s or something like that. Here is to more years like that.

I’m sure this news will enrage many of you as it conflicts with your narrative
PS.. just because someone is conservative or right-leaning doesn't mean that we want black or liberal people to suffer you arse.
