This was a planned meetup on Mardi Gras day but I see it occasionally around the city and it’s absurd they don’t want to do anything about it.
I got behind them on Magazine from around the one-way split and followed them all the way to Marengo where I turned. I bet they went all the way to the zoo. Two dirt bikes and a 4-wheeler. They weren't going that fast ~20mph, but they dngaf about anything.

Can't wait until one of these POS gets killed on the road doing this crap.
There have been a few accidents. I think last year a couple of drivers died and one guy ran over a kid and another guy ran over an elderly woman.
They ignore all traffic laws, blow through street lights and stop signs, weave in and out of residential neighborhood traffic, etc...
I hate these people more than almost anything else in this city. Every time they ride by my widows at midnight I wish I had put a trip wire out from the neutral ground to the side walk. None of them wear helmets and they can't die quickly enough.

This is the beginning of the end if law enforcement can no longer police public roadways out of fear.
And yet every news media outlet in the country today is wanting to take our guns away.
Yep, this will end well for the average citizen.
You clearly missed the point of my post. Someone made it out to only be a Louisiana problem and that's not true. Unfortunately, these assholes are everywhere.

I saw them yesterday too---I laughed my arse off and knew that it would end up on TD eventually.

I would not be mad at all if a few baws hammered their 250s down and blended those fricks up

Lots of middle class culcha there.

It's not fear. It's some combination of apathy and horrendous incompetence. The NOPD are told not to engage or pursue.
I'll just sit over here and wait for Mitch or LaToya to stand up to the criminals and thugs and uneducated masses becoming more brazen and unhinged by the day. Ill just sit here and wait for my city leadership to do something.
Oh nvm. Mitch is too busy. He's either out of town selling our city down the river to advance is inevitably hopeless dreams of national politics or he's in town fricking his black staff members behind his wife's back and giving massive bloated contracts to his cousins.
LaToya is too busy embezzling city funds, paying back the old Jefferson/Morial political machine, and speaking truth to Power and ensuring we shut down all port traffic with any Israeli ties.
I cannot wait to move to Jefferson Parish and watch Orleans burn.

Mardi Gras Rideout 2018 Video (38 mins long)
Shouldn’t be that hard to arrest at least one of those riders. The dude that made that video has his real name as his YouTube profile name.
Probably aren’t too many daiwon mcpherson‘s around

setting up a massive roadblock then at a minimum confiscating all the vehicles without proper registration (hell, confiscate all of them for being on a publich interstate!) would put a dent in their fun for awhile even if most of them get let go by the corrupt NOLA judges.

Its not just loading them all up and holding them somewhere. A lot goes into it and would tie up resources for a while. How many trips is the wrecker gonna have to make before the roadway is cleared? How many officers do you tie up on paperwork handling it when youre already short handed and under funded.

Hats off to their employers for offering a flexible work schedule.

my bad, lets just let the criminals continue to break all kinds of laws and endanger the community because enforcement is 'difficult'.

This would work if NOPD had info ahead of time about where they would be. Problem is these things go where cop cars can't over neutral ground, through yards, and on sidewalks.
My grip is that NOPD has said well we cant chase them guess thats it, nothign else we can do.

It sounds like you are saying you shouldn't enforce the law because it is hard and expensive???
