Many states have gone to multiple updates a day.

I thought we were supposed to get a massive increase with the increase in testing?
Or are we still waiting on those results?

My mom works at a clinic that is helping to process people being tested. Their site still hasn’t received results from this weeks tests.

Was talks of hitting 1000 over the coming week
In a few days we’ve seen a jump from under 100 to nearly 600 so it’s not far off

The turn around time on these tests are now at 5-7 days. So next week we should see the numbers come in from all the people we tested this week.

Most of the testing is delayed 5 days. These results are a window into 5 days ago

Tests are taking as long as a week to come back...the bulk of private lab testing at least in North La. is going to Quest in California and taking a solid week to get back. I know of around 800 test results outstanding in my hospital system as of yesterday afternoon. Criteria for LDH State Lab is very strict, those are the 24 hour turnaround tests, so the bulk of testing is private labs.

It’s been trending down for 3 days. The rate of growth that is. Either every parish ran out of tests or the trend is breaking. We hit our growth rate peak on 3/18 at 44% in 24 hrs. It’s now at 22%. The social distancing will work. It’s impossible for it not to. The primary transmission is human to human contact almost immediately after.
