Waze is showing an accident at the off-ramp to Loyola.
Some dumbarse missed the exit and tried to cut over a couple of lanes, I bet.
Waze is also showing Kenner police located on Loyola at I-10 and at Vets, keeping an eye on traffic I assume.

What is the final decision on the old access road? Is it open to the public or not?
WWL radio traffic guy this morning was saying there was traffic on Vets and the old access road "because the red light is still functioning despite the road being now closed to traffic".
I thought they were going to keep it open for people wanting to drive to/from the economy garage and car rental shuttle facility.

The old airport exit is open and there are new signs saying economy/car rental. So I assume it’s open.

Come on people this is the PERFECT reason for why Lyft/Uber exists
On another note I never really had issues With old MSY
My record for getting dropped off at the curb to sitting at my gate was 4 minutes. Timed it with my phone. Online check in the night before, boarding pass on my phone, no checked luggage, and TSA pre check.

The issues for MSY weren't really for locals. It was pretty convenient for us.
The issues were that it was incredibly outdated for airlines, TSA/Security, amenities, and was inefficient.
And was a HORRIBLE first impression for tourists. Let's admit it. The place was a dump.

It’s a $25-35 Uber both ways from my house to MSY in perfect conditions. It is under $20 to park, why would I spend more Ubering if I’m not going to be gone more than 3 days?

I am here. Lunching at the bar at Mondo. This place is amazing. Has exceeded every one of my expectations.
Worst part was the Loyola exit and crossing Vets, but honestly it wasn’t that bad.

Is there 3rd-party parking available like Park N Fly, or does the airport own all the parking for the new terminal?
