Have you tried possibly utilizing the door as a barrier?

Normally would be the first option, but some of the offices didn't have doors or walls for a few months post-Ida

None of this happened.

Except the part that someone new started at your office. People probably like him better than you too.

Help the new kid learn people skills, like the importance of the "club tie and the firm handshake"

You might want to be nicer to him as he will probably be your boss one day.

You have a new hire setting up his desk in ear shot and interrupting you on conference calls? Sounds awesome. You must be important.

This is a ridiculous post. It's his first damn day. He's nervous as hell. Just deal with it until he figures it out on his own. At this point, I feel sorry for him working with a douchebag like you.

After graduating college, I started my first real job. I was hired at the same time as someone else, so we were sort of matched up in a sense and did most of our training together. I was also seated next to him

This guy lacked every fiber of professionalism in the workplace. He had zero social awareness. It’s like he watched The Office and assumed that’s how a work place operated

He would constantly talk to me over our cube farm divider and get me in trouble for constantly talking instead of working, when I would do all but blow off the conversation

My supervisor ended up telling me that he knows I’m not f’ing off and to just ignore him.

shite was insufferable. He was a really nice guy, but terrible to work with
