I have both. Both awesome. The big one is gravity based so easier when it’s higher than what you’re filling

I literally employ Haitians that can figure this type of gas can out.

I take great joy in using the new cans. When gas is spilling all over the place and destroying the environment, I think of the genius that created these and pour a little extra out for them. frick yo gay earth.

I’ve got about 6 or 7 old metal cans like they used in the 60’s and 70’s before they started making that plastic crap and I’ll never throw them out. The new ones are absolutely awful.

As much as I would like to blame Washington this like so much other tail wagging the dog this fuel issue comes compliments of California.

Press the green button while holding a 5 gallon can in place where gas comes out at a trickle. Then you can't get all the gas out the can as it can't be tilted enough and it leaks all over the place from where the pour nozzle screws into the can. (The whole reason it was "Designed")

I've become a fricking pro with these PITA MOTHERfrickERS. The trick is to get the nozzle where you want it, then use your palm to push that fricker all way to get flow, THEN adjusting and holding the can at just the right angle to allow airflow and nice stream. Otherwise that fricker will drip out while you shake and struggle to hold 5 gallons of gas upside down.

On day 5 now, I can refuel my little honda(1 gallon) at 2am while holding one of them little LED lanterns in my teeth.

yep, this is what we ended up doing. gas cans don't need to be that complicated. I'd like to shove this thing up it's inventor's arse.

I filled 2 of these up yesterday and then transferred the gas via funnel to my old school cans when I want to actually use them.

The person who designed those needs to be waterboarded.

I use one of those self start siphons to fill up everything I need a gas can for. The cans are horrible, and with no vent all my cans are ballooned out after a couple of years. I use to have 8 or so jerry cans with donkey dicks but some a-hole stole them. It had to be a contractor working on the house, just don’t know which one as we didn’t have cameras up yet. Jerry cans are gettable, but old school donkey dicks not so easy to come by.

SIAP, but get a 7/16 drill bit and drill a hole where the vent should be. Then use a coat hanger to go through the fill hole to the hole you drilled so that you can pull a valve stem up through the hole. Don't put a core in (obviously) but just put a cap on it. When you get ready to pour, unscrew the cap and it will pour like every can should.

They basically child proofed the gas cans. I hate them. I have a small one gallon one for my weed eater. That one pisses me off. frick using a 5 gallon one.

You're welcome. This is the only one I've used that's worth a damn and the only one I'll ever use.

Got this one and the cans with the down spouts from Sam’s. I like the metal cans the best. Fast filling and no spillage. They are more expensive tho. Got mine from Ace.
