Like Meatloaf said, there are somethings I won't do for love.
Visiting the Indian subcontinent is one of them.

The whole subcontinent lights up light blue when you bring out the street view guy.
You have to do it randomly you can't go searching

I did try it in what I assumed were pretty rural areas and failed

India is a literal cesspool of shite. What else is new?

I’ve heard when you step off the plane in India, it’s got a funky smell.

This is like the opposite of Japan where you drop a Google Street View and try to find any litter.

I had to go to India for work for ten days. On day 6, the partner I went there with peaced out early and left me there by myself for the reminder of the trip. What an a-hole

Yeah. Thanks a whole lot for starting this thread. I was able to immediately drop in on two decent places in India without the poo problem. Of course, they were in northern India and rather rural. But that's not my gripe with you for staring this thread.
You have led me down a rabbit hole of scanning all over the earth's surface in Asia from India, to Burma to China, to Mongolia, to Siberia... I have a LIFE to live and things to do! Your thread has distracted me from even making a quick sammich for supper while the wife is out of town and I'm fending for myself. I have wasted an untold amount of time learning about places I've never heard of before and now have a desire to go see in person!
If I go broke and live in squalor in my old age because I have spent all my money traveling to places no one has ever heard of it's YOUR FAULT!
Apart from that, thanks for the OP and making me do something interesting with some free time I had this evening. I hadn't delved deeply into google earth in a long time. That was rather enjoyable.

Been to Mumbia for 6 weeks on a work assignment. Everyone should go a least once and you will appreciate what we have here. The plane landed and by the time we got to the terminal the smell and stench permeated the plane. Over 21 million people living on top of each other. The smell and pollution is unbelievable. The living conditions are insane. We drove from the airport to our hotel in silence taking in the environment. It was a culture shock. Yes saw many people pissing and crapping on the street. Saw a dude dragging a dead dog behind him with a rope tied to his rear legs.
The only positive was I did eat the best Chinese food ever.
The only day I enjoyed was a day at the horse track. It was a wild experience. There were two grandstands one for the British folk and one for the locals. I was with the locals. The dudes taking the bets were in what looked like chicken cages. All the jockeys were British. They race counter clock wise. Won two races.

Same here. I had NO idea it had evolved anywhere near where it is globally. It’s really incredible. Just spent about an hour on it.

Just out for a stroll!
What I really admire about India is their highly organized electrical distribution and communication infrastructure.
