Had my yearly eye exam with Dr. Davidson at Williamson last month and he was talking about these drops , they were involved in the clinical trials.

If they develop something like that for farsightedness, I'm game.

Lasik has been around for decades and I’m still terrified of the idea. I’ll stick to contacts for now.

I have reading glasses stashed all over the house, and when I need them I can never find the damn things... This would be awesome,,,,

We share this! I have a pair close by, in just about every room. Even have a pair on my keychain. Been known to wear my wife's when out at restaurant. She usually has them already out of her purse, sitting next to me when we get the menus! I would jump all over these eye drops!

Copy and paste from the manufacturers website.

Improved near and intermediate vision without compromising distance vision

Primary endpoint was =3-line in mesopic, high-contrast, binocular distance-corrected near visual acuity (DCNVA) without losing more than 1 line (5 letters) of corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA) with the same refractive correction at Day 30, Hour 3.1

Change from baseline in photopic, high-contrast, binocular distance-corrected intermediate visual acuity (DCIVA) at Day 30, Hour 3 was a prespecified secondary endpoint.3

You’ve got two eyes. Just put in in one eye.

Best thing I ever did. Woke up in glasses, went to the surgeon, went home and took a nap. When I woke, I was 20/10, 20/40. Got a correction in the 20/40 eye, now I’m 20/10, 20/20. 10.5 years and counting

Cheap? They just got 40 million people on an $80/month subscription for life. That's $3.2 Billion/month forever.

Miotic drops don't screw up your distance vision. They do dilate the pupil which has the same effect as reducing the aperture on a camera lens. It increases the depth of field since you can't adjust the focus of your eyes it brings a larger range of distances into focus. It works at distance as well but just not nearly as well with the drops. If you have ever noticed yourself or other squinting to bring something into focus you/they are doing the same thing by effectively reducing the aperture of the eye.

There is another type of drop in trials now, a lens softening drop. They may actually prove more effective for most people that are not too far down the presbyopia road. It will also not decrease light let into the eye in dark conditions.

Anyone that has done much photography will recognize how the depth of field scale on a camera lens shows more things are in focus with a smaller aperture (larger f-stop)

At the current focus the lens below shows in focus from 8 feet up to infinity @ f16 but only from about 14 to 25 feet at f4.

This!!! Eye drops and ear drops are usually expensive as shite. If this stuff works, could be a game changer though.

By the end of January we'll hear about the effects of the 99th case of using too much of this. The Previous 98 cases will be deep-sixed and we'll never hear about them.

—-Just to reassure you, I had it done in 2003. Painless, and my vision has held up for 18 years. I imagine the procedure is even better now.

$80 per month is cheap for eye drops that do the same thing as $2 reading glasses?
