New drug Cychlorphine has caused 5 deaths in Oxford in the last 24 hours

Have some friends who go to Ole Miss that have lost friends this weekend because of this. They believe it’s being trafficked from Louisiana.
From IFC, and the University
Apparently, the drug causing the overdoses is cychlorphine, and it doesn’t show up on fentanyl test strips. Spread this to your chapters and tell them that nothing is safe. I’m working with the office to get a message out.
Because it is invisible to common harm-reduction testing tools, emergency personnel and health agencies emphasize that if an overdose occurs, naloxone (Narcan) must still be administered immediately. However, due to cychlorphine's extreme potency, multiple consecutive doses of naloxone are frequently required to restore breathing - if something happens, make sure your guys know how to save a life

It is clear that there was a large trafficking operation from Louisiana this weekend. No drugs are safe whatsoever, everything as of now is to be presumed laced.

Is the implication that bad drugs came in from Louisiana or that Louisiana folks intentionally distributed laced drugs? This is terrible. 5 deaths in 24 hours is horrific.

I'd guess they're suggesting LSU students brought in drugs to their campus on game weekend.

Was this what the LSU fan either took or was drugged with at the game? This is the one who was found bloodied in the bathroom, unconscious. Hospital said he had a drug in his system.

Why would you lace an upper, or a psychedelic, with a deadly downer.
That's like putting flame retardant in your gasoline.
Wouldn't it be counterproductive to "lace" something deadly into something you'd expect repeat customers from?

Oxford gets gayer every day. Kids there have been ripping lines and popping pills for decades has nothing to do with opposing football teams.

I don't want to go all 'old man screaming at a cloud here' ... but maybe go for a safer buzz like some beer or mixed drinks.

What about the large influx of Memphis ”natives” who showed up in Oxford this weekend? That’s more likely the case but I’m sure they didn’t consider that aspect
