I need a new desk chair at work. I'm using a shitty $50 chair right now and it sucks. Any suggestions? I see "gaming chairs" that looks pretty comfortable but not sure what the advantage is there. The chair doesn't have to meet any certain design styles.

There's one that Ben Shapiro advertises on his show but I can't find the name. Someone else here might know. It's pretty pricey though

ETA: Found it - It's X-Chair

Are we talking home office or office? I have a Secret Lab Titan and it's great, but I don't know if I would want to bring it into an office. It's certainly a nicer looking gaming chair, but it's still a gaming chair.

Didn’t feel like paying a grand for one so just got some gaming chair off Amazon, it’s more comfortable than my previous one for sure

Work office. I have a nice leather chair at home. I'm more concerned about the look of the chair at home than I am at the work office.

Skip the gaming chairs and buy a proper ergonomic chair made by a company that makes office chairs.

Herman Miller. Works perfect. The only issue is my puppy chewed the tension knob off and they are like 30/40 bucks new. Going to see if I can get one 3D printed.

I've used it for two years and have had no back problems whatsoever, especially considering the fact I sit on this damn thing nearly the whole day.

If you have a local office furniture store, go there and try them out. Everybody likes something different so I would sit in one before I bought it. Or, if you like the one a co-worker has, go with that.

This is what I did, didn't bother with Office Depot or Sam's. Sat in just about every proper desk chair they had picked a nice black leather one with more bells and whistles including lumbar adjustment than I had intended but worth it. Haven't had any sciatic nerve issues like I did with the old chair.

Or Steelcase top of the line (Gesture or Leap, depending on your preference).

Never used them, but the most sensible option is probably buying a refurb Steelcase or similar from Crandall Office

I think they look bland, but in terms of getting a high quality chair for cheap, they're supposedly the best

They strip them down and rebuild them so they're practically new. People rave about their service too.

Great deals on good chairs for work. Knoll, Humanscale, Herman Miller.

All great.

I have a knoll life chair from there at 300 dollars. My favorite chair.

I got a Steelcase Series 1 last week and it’s a great improvement over the wood dining chair I had been using for more than a year.

I got it on sale for around the $350 neighborhood. And no that’s not an OT 350 joke. You should be able to find the same kind of discount.
