already been vandalized!

MOVEBR's BRapid service line connecting North Baton Rouge, downtown and LSU through a central bus route spanning nearly 10 miles should be open during the fourth quarter of 2026, East Baton Rouge Parish Transportation Director Fred Raiford told WBRZ on Thursday.

Raiford said that the signals are now operational and that the project is "just about finished up." His team was aiming to open it by the end of the year, noting that the opening date "could be sooner" than Q4.

Crews still need to connect timers and other amenities at bus stops to track and maintain the bus schedules, he added.

Raiford noted that the project hit a few snags in construction due to vandalism of the under-construction bus stops but that they are still on track to open the route in 2026.

Let's just make it easier for NBR tPOS to victimize the student population of LSU. Makes perfect sense.

Who really thinks this new bus deal will be successful?

Yea, what a terrible idea. They'd be better off building a wall.

I've lived in baton Rouge for over a decade and never met anyone that's rode a city bus here.
To me they're just mobile Gordon McKernan billboards.

To a lot of us, they are portable BBQs lined up at Cortana or Mall of LA for hours.

I remember the city busses in the 80's had stops all throughout Sherwood and Goodwood neighborhoods. It was a great way for the housekeepers to get to work.

2026, now the housekeepers live in Sherwood.

BR just needs a giant arse wall separating North BR from the rest of the city.

Less connectivity with those thugs is needed, not more.
