I think the regular version look badass but let's be honest with ourselves. This thing ain't gonna sell all that well. The price will probably be astronomical for what it is and it's competing with an entrenched player.

The sport model might do well in sales.

don't think these things are going to be bought to go offroad though. They will be mall crawlers.

Just like the Landcruisers, Rovers, and 99% of every other off road vehicle.

So it's not a serious Wrangler competitor.

That 4 cylinder still gets 30 more ft lbs of torque than the Wrangler despite 15 fewer horsepower. It's plenty competitive enough.

Quite a gap
I’ve thought the same thing on occasion.

I may have even said it admiringly to a woman or two.

This is axiomatic for me-

Inside doesn't look bad. Looks like a Jeep.

Looks better than a Jeep to me. Plus all the accessory stuff like the place to mount an iPad or phone on the dash is really nice addition

The design on the seats is pretty gaudy, but other than that, it looks super clean

The Bronco Sport looks like the old Escapes/Mariners before they ruined the body.

I’m still driving my 2008 Merc Mariner, trying to decide on my next move as the family expands. May wait for the wife car to get paid off.

It’s what Ford is known for

I own a Jeep. They're no stranger to electrical problems. I currently have a relay they simply fastened to the exterior of the fuse panel in order to "fix" a recall. That was supposed to be a temporary solution 5 years ago.

Can you imagine being the design team (or leadership for that matter) at Chevrolet knowing how badly you derped up the Blazer given what Ford was able to accomplish here?

Apparently the base price is $28k and the premium price is $56k

So like with Jeep, you can get one for a reasonable price but the one you want is going to kick your wallet in the nuts.

Either way, this is the first new Ford I've liked in a long time and Jeep having a decent Wrangler competitor should only make both vehicles better.

Maybe this will lead to Ford getting the Explorer back to being a decent Grand Cherokee competitor too b/c what we have now is barley enough to be a mall warrior.

I wish there were a stronger word than abomination, but it's as strong as any. That development crew should feel nothing but shame and remorse.

Pretty sure I read a diesel is coming next year. Could be wrong.

I don't know. The rumors of this thing for the better part of a decade will drive sales pretty well. I think Ford did really well with sticking to the roots of the original Bronco which will make it very appealing to the market. I'm just curious to see who gives one to OJ.

I actually feel bad for the team that had to design that thing. You know that project was run by a bunch of retarded marketing dweebs that based the design on test group information.
