Does BR still have the wooden bat summer league?

That place is a total POS. Why not try to find some land and build a stadium near downtown? I loved going to Memphis Redbirds games after work when I lived there...that did wonders for the downtown area there.

I guess you could get the team here on the contracted promise to build something new in 5 yrs. But at the end of the day, I would rather see all that effort and money go to a BR metro bypass/loop.

Lafayette already has a team in this league...they are the ACADIANA CANE CUTTERS

If we had the funds, I would love a downtown park. I agree...would do some great things for BR. Build a park that overlooks the Mississippi River...bars and restaurants would be packed on weekends.

Something tells me the Mayor and company aren't interested in baseball.

Loops depend on collaborative effort between parishes. Do you foresee the Parish presidents in LP going along with EBR parish council? :rofl;
