I delivered pizza for 4 years in college, 3 more yrs while ex1 was in law school, and again for 5 years 2011-16 when I was flat broke. It is very relaxing and pays well most of the time. Traffic and inside work are only downside.
I'll always steer a college kid or friend looking for a second job towards pizza delivery and now Amazon. But NOT this Waitr shite.

So the city of St. George gets new jobs to support those individuals while being able to collect more tax dollars.

It’s also the funniest coincidence that BR, which repeatedly refused to annex areas into the city for decades, jumped at the chance to annex the casino, mall, Siegen marketplace, etc. once it became clear St. George was going to happen. So funny!

It wasn’t a coincidence, it was planned. If neighborhoods on the fringe didn’t sign the original petition they were excluded from the second petition because of their lack of support and because they hurt the numbers. It’d not complicated.

I haven’t forgot. The borders were much larger when they made the first run at incorporating. Many businesses and neighborhoods opted out because of the SWB Better Together campaign. Either way, it’s not business tax St George is after. It’s being able to keep some tax money in their own area that benefits them - but I’m sure downtown and the multi million dollar bike trail looks fantastic in NBR.
