It was probably a necessary part of evolution of the species to have that hair (or this is what is left after reducing the total coverage of hair was necessary. Whichever way it happened).
So, yes. It is natural.
But regression to caveman times and promoting embracing your body hair isn't some heroic cause. It's just weird.
