I think we can all agree that Dr Susan is among the worst living human beings-angry delusional confrontational Karen with a gun. And the crime itself was truly EVIL. But a good filmmaker lets an audience make up its own mind. This just preached at the very end. They brought you on a very sympathetic ride and gave you a terrible antagonist and then bludgeoned you at the end with the simplistic “very important message that all people of conscience must agree on to be decent people".
And we can't really be surprised that Soledad O'Brien would push cynical Racial Agitprop-because that's what Netflix does-it's entertainment for 21-year-old college undergrads and or Progressive ideologues. And The Racial Grievance Industry is a multi-billion-dollar industry. Big dollars to be had by pushing this message. White people bad give up your guns.
Grateful that hateful count is in jail.

Yea. I didn't take it as a racial thing, just a bat shite crazy old lady who didnt want anyone on her lawn. Like look lady, you live in a neighborhood next to a field, yea, the kids will play. I also dont put it past the kids to frick with the lady and push her buttons too.

You clearly can't read where I said I haven't seen it. My post was a general comment on Hollywood stoking the fires with half true content.
Calm down. But as we've seen with many projects, even real life footage can be clipped and manipulated to paint a narrative.

At the end of the day every group of people has evil and good members in it. To generalize black women, or immigrants, or middle eastern people or whites as KKK is the problem. A small group does this. The groups of politicians and non government organizations that pit different large groups Americans against each other are the problem. Most normal Americans which includes many diverse groups just want to live a normal life no matter what background they have, As long as those in power keep all of the groups fighting they stay in power. The narrative is usually focused on the diversion and not the root cause.

I have fatigue like the rest of us but thats now how I saw it... cpukd those kids have been better parents and contained... 100% still doesnt justify what that woman did.

The only racial component is at the end when discussing stand your ground laws…. The people are real, the emotions are real… if that bothers you then to fricking bad. The lady was found guilty and deserved it

We had old couple neighbors exactly like Susan. They would scream at kids if they were in the street in front of their house. We lived next door and they would yell at my kids if they were in my side of the yard between houses. He told one neighborhood foster kid that he was stupid and that's why his parents didn't want him. They were real sweethearts. They called the cops repeatedly and the cops knew what we were dealing with. They eventually moved but it was hell.
