Read about Ed Gein
Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho was based off of Ed Gein, and many other fictional killers (Buffalo Bill) were inspired by him over the years. That guy was truly messed up.

Yeah, the combination of Bundy’s intellect and his insanity made him especially horrifying. He also looked and acted like a trusting, normal guy.
He simply could not control his homicidal urges. On more than one case, he would attack and murder more than one person in a day because he couldn’t stop.

Seriously? What in the world would lead one to “romanticize" a psychopath, or come anywhere near doing that?
You'd be surprised how many women were in love with him even after so many woman and children were killed. He got lots of love letters in prison. Unbelievable

This defies logic to me.
Most guys want to hit nut jobs like Casey Anthony with a brick. The crazy is just too much to overcome.

If you ask me, that guy was a real jerk.

Exactly. His killing spree in Florida is directly caused by the incompetence of the court/nails in Colorado.
Had they not been completely derilect in their duties, those victims in Florida would've never been touched. If I were the families in Florida I would've filed a class action suit against the state of Colorado. Those frickers deserved to pay big time.
Sad and pathetic.

Yeah I don't buy this line of thinking... it is taking it down this weird Dexter path. Like its some kind of innate biological urge that he has no control over... The dude was evil, like any other serial killer before him.
I do think these types of documentaries often in a weird twisted way can glorify the serial killer.

I would bet Casey Anthony received just as many love letters as Bundy did.

Coincidence that the nut job progressives population exploded once we shut down a ton of mental institutions? The Dems will stop at nothing to get votes.

while it's true the incompetence and lack of communication allowed Bundy to kill WAY more than if the police in each state had acted diligently, if you take into consideration the time period, it's not nearly as shocking . The world had never seen someone like Bundy and news didn't travel like it does in today's world. Florida obviously had no clue about a killer from the pacific northwest on the run. the most shocking aspect of the documentary to me was how easily he escaped....twice.

Just watched it recently. The plot he used to kill those two girls at that festival was just horrifying it just showed this guy was a predator and these young beautiful women were the prey. For him to have a cast on his arm and tell them he needed help with his sailboat just showed he enjoyed thinking of these plots to kill. Burn in hell Bundy.

without knowing much about it, why can't we? I mean, do we not ever institutionalize people anymore? That sounds, at its face, extremely stupid and shortsighted

Just because he had a biological urge to kill doesn't mean anybody is not considering him evil.

I don't know. He was in the Florida courts for about a week with no identity. Yet he was on the FBI ten most wanted list. With a suspect for a killing spree in custody, that can't be identified, no one thought to take a look at the FBI's list?
