Damn. He kinda looks like Angus Young in that picture.

I watched some of the first episode and haven't gotten back to it again. Like a lot of people, I was already familiar with him, but people like him is the reason the brain fascinates me.

While I'm not sure if he qualifies as a serial killer per-se... Richard Kuklinski was one that always fascinated me. The things he did as his method of killing someone (hit man for the mob) were wild.
He'd mutilate their lower spine to paralyze them but keep them alive, then make them watch him cut off their limbs with a chainsaw.
He also cut some people to make them bleed and left them in a cave for the rats to eat alive... and filmed it.
Dude was truly sadistic. Rarely killed anyone the same way as a means to keep authorities from connecting the murders.

The brain is a very delicate organ. A defect in its growth can have profound effects upon society, usually negative.
The defect that seems to be universal with serial killers is a lack of empathy. They don't have the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. Psychopaths are born without this ability and sociopaths learn to suppress it to their advantage.
I think Bundy was a psychopath because there was no trauma in his childhood that could explain his later horrors. He was born that way.

IIRC his mother was impregnated by a transient when she was a teenager. His grandparents raised him and he thought his mother was his sister. It would be interesting to know the background of his biological father.

The 25ft jump from a window was pretty ballzy

Hadn't watched yet, but just saw they are making a movie with Efron as Bundy and I want to see it.

Being told your grandparents are your parents and his mom was his aunt could have done a little damage as a kid. Discovering all the lies did something but I agree he wasn't going to be a model citizen if they hadn't lied to him.
Eta....sister or aunt, don't recall.

Makes me wonder if having a daughter ever made him reflect on all the harm he’d caused all those other women. I doubt it. But who knows?
not a chance. He was a true socio/psychopath. Not one shred of empathy in his entire body. I guarantee you he went to the chair still convinced he was in the right and had outsmarted everyone.
