Pit is going to turn on you at some point, question is are you going to be able to do what it takes when it happens?

I heard a story about a pit bull whose owner had gone to the hospital with a terminal illness.

It broke out of its enclosure, broke through the fence, crossed miles of traffic and roads until it got to the hospital where its master lay dying.

Then it snuck inside, maneuvered past the guards, and even rode the elevator to the floor where its master was.

Just so it could

That pitbull might seem nice now. Until it snaps for whatever reason and eats the cat and then comes for your face next. Better sleep with a shotgun by your bed just in case

Good on you.

I have a pit mix that is the best pup I’ve ever owned. He follows me around the house everywhere, thinks he is a lapdog, and is a giant baby compared to our corgi mix. He hates cats and chihuahuas, the latter of which I am fine with.

Anywho, my vet said it’s not this major problem that people think it is so long as I keep him in the proper environment.

Make sure you do the same. I never intended to own a pit. He was a stray, and so little when I got him that I didn’t know what he was.

I hope your new animals bring you the same joy mine bring to me.

Good job, man. We “adopted” a little pit last year that was malnourished, mistreated, and had heartworms. She’s healthy now and has it made. She is literally the sweetest, calmest dog I’ve ever been around.

Pit Bulls are in fact "America's Most Dangerous Dog Breed"

Sure, but Pit Bull isn't a breed. So the statistics are flawed because you're comparing 4+ breeds to 1.

dog that has clearly been abused by two different owners unfortunately is a dog I would not put my family around. You don’t know anything about the dog or it’s potential past abuse.

Yeah you made a dumb move op. You just took a breed natorious for bring neglected from trash people which in turns make them such a shite breed. You've now taken that breed into your home after it's had two families neglect it.

You don't know any of the stuff that was done to that dog.

Yep, Bella has been by far the calmest dog I have ever had.

I havent even heard her bark once. Outside of laying on the porch, laying on her bed, and wanting scratched she mostly just wonders around the yard and trys to get the cats and our other dogs to play with her.

Pete, the cat in the pic is by far her best bud.

Our other Cat, Cream, has finally comes to terms with her. And they'll play some. But when Bella first started coming to the house Cream wasnt to nice.

Cream caught Bella on the nose one day and then chased Bella out of the house and then out of the yard. Funniest thing ever watching that dog run from that cat.
