Growing up this was considered polite to do. Then again it wasn’t in an era/area with people who were yard perfectionists. Just sort of of a “someone has to maintain the line and it’s polite to be the one to do it” way.

Bury a piece of rebar 3 feet straight into the ground with about 2 inches sticking out in some thick grass. When his mower blade hits it and stops cold, it might bend the camshaft in the motor. It also might break the blade and injure him. That would show him.

I live on a golf course and my neighbor cuts and waters grass that is WAY beyond his property line and on the course. I usually just watch and laugh.

I had a coworker that would about complain about his neighbor's grass clippings landing in his yard. Also complained about neighbors kid kept throwing his balls and frisbees into his back yard. This guy was dumb....

It’s not a neighborly thing. It’s a one push mower length strip clearly on my property. The 23” was a guess about mower width. Could be 21-24”. I wouldn’t care normally, but he scalps the shite out of my grass.

I keep my trash bins on the side of my house hidden behind the AC unit. On that side of the house, the neighbor’s house is about 12 feet away. I’ve noticed someone hs been putting a fast food bag and drink in my trash bin almost daily. I think it’s their teenaged daughter (no pics) who gets fast food on the way home from school but doesn’t want her parents to know.

Don’t get me started on the dog shite sous vide during a rainy trash day. Just leave the shot in my yard, don’t bag it up and throw it in a bin with 2” of water from earlier rain and the sun shining later

I'm not anal about keeping a yard up and likely wouldn't have cared had your situation happened to me, but one time a neighbor baw mowed all the way to my actual house for some reason, which was wasy beyond the property line. I wouldn't have cared except that baw must've had his mower set on Caroline Squat because there was just dirt left around my foundation in his wake. I was pretty pissed about that one.
