Need the OT's help: Finding a new career path

Went to LSU not knowing what I really wanted to do. I'm from a small town where you aren't really told much about occupations just knew that I loved sports so went into teaching and coaching. I have a Master's degree....again in education but it was free while I was a graduate assistant for a college sports program. Years later and knowing what else is out there, I would've done so many things different but here I am. 34, 1 kid with another on the way and I want to make a career change. I go to work daily knowing I can be better utilized in another capacity doing something else and leaving drained from essentially doing nothing all day.

Some of my best attributes are my ability to communicate with anyone. I was blessed with the gift of gab. I am also extremely organized at making plans, schedules, etc and keeping to them. A buddy of mine told me about planning and scheduling in construction and plants but even though I went out on my own and took a Primavera P6 class, all I keep getting is "That's great but you don't have any experience"....which I understand. I'd love something in planning, scheduling, logistics, procurement, estimating, etc. Ideally, a company would be looking to train someone under someone who is on the way out the door for retirement and looking to train a replacement.

So I guess I'm just reaching out and hoping someone out there can help me find something that I can use my gifts and put my family in a better situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please only interested people or people with advice respond....please.
