Sell cars. Sell... anything, really.

Yer skills aren't particularly unique and yer experience doesn't translate to anything in the business world. Gonna have to grind.

I'd love something in planning, scheduling, logistics, procurement, estimating, etc. Ideally, a company would be looking to train someone under someone who is on the way out the door for retirement and looking to train a replacement.

Saw that and thought, bs, if he thinks he has all of these attributes, and hopefully he does, the one major thing he’s missing is drive and desire, and balls, maybe more than one thing, but go hand in hand, so to speak, in the equation for success

drive and desire,

How can you tell that without ever meeting me? Believe me, my desire and drive are higher than they've ever been trying to find something so that my 2 little girls can have whatever they need. I can't get that in education.

Some of my best attributes are my ability to communicate with anyone. I was blessed with the gift of gab. I am also extremely organized at making plans, schedules, etc and keeping to them

Sounds like what I used to succeed when I was a business analyst. If you can handle advanced concepts (especially tenchological)ok and successfull communicate that through multiple mediums to stake holders and be the go to man for their jurisdiction, that might work. Usually though, they want an MBA

If you don't want to do Sales, you sound like someone who would love a Project Management kind of role in a corporation. There are some certifications for PM work you could do to bolster your resume and show you're serious about your career change.

The PMs I deal with on a daily basis are outgoing, organized, and very goal-oriented. They're there to supplement efforts when necessary (procurement, scheduling, logistics) and need to be able to verbally provide accurate and insightful updates to upper or executive management.

Having never met you, no clue if this would be a solid choice but, given what you've said you enjoy, it really sounds right up your alley.

I went to the school where you teach. Is BS still over there? He used to yell at the top of his lungs and everyone would laugh because no one could understand him. He also threw a desk off that stage in the gym one time

You are too old to start a career in construction. You think you work a lot now? You will start at the bottom, and it will be 15-20 years of field work. Go back to school, get your admin degree, and be a principal. You will build on your experiance, and make a good living. Making a change at 34 would be a major mistake, and you will regret it in 15 years when you could have retired.

Yea. He's ISSP now. Still yells alot. Not shocked by him throwing a desk. We play ball on Sundays and he's known to throw chairs when his shots aren't falling.

34 isn’t necessarily too old but he doesn’t need to come here and ask for a menu/roadmap to make a choice, what he needs to do is find a passion to start that fire in the gut and haul arse into it feet first, yes, initially he’ll be stagnant or worse but would pay huge dividends down the road, lack of a goal and being unwilling to defer certain things to achieve it is killing the futures of the last couple of generations
