Never buy a used mattress that smells like your girlfriend

We have a 100% latex mattress in our master bedroom and one with 6" of latex and a foam base in our spare. They are so much better than any other type of mattress, especially when you factor longevity. Our used or old latex mattress 15 years and it was still fine, we just were moving and moved up to a king from a queen.

Love my Tempurpedic.
Took away my back pain after many years of suffering.

For sex get a 70s waterbed.
For sleep get a 14 inch novafoam from Costco.

Is latex the brand? Or is that a type of mattress?

Mattress shopping is worse than car shopping. After months of shopping and 3 returns we now have the most comfortable mattress we ever had.
We bought a basic Beautyrest firm mattress then added a 2" cooling memory foam pad. That still left us wanting more so we added another 2" memory foam pad. That did it. Then we put on a quilted topper and it's perfect!!
My advice, don't fall for all the special layers they try to sell as premium. You can add all those layers yourself if you need them.

I have been needing a mattress for several years now. Every time I start to shop, I get overwhelmed and end up giving up. Guess I just need to pick one and go with it….anything I get will be better than what I am sleeping on currently!

My thoughts exactly. Can’t make a decision. Paralysis by analysis

2 Saatva Classics, a Saatva Latex Hybrid and a Big Fig are all of the mattresses in my place right now. Saatva makes good stuff!
I sleep on the latex hybrid. It doesn't get hot, and it's firm enough for me and the wife.

Get a nice innerspring mattress from Costco, preferably firm. Then get the best mattress topper you can find. That combo will be as good or better than any other option.

All mattress construction is relatively the same, so it comes down to coil count, (if you want a mattress with coils) foam and features (cooling gel, hypoallergenic covering and shite like that).
You can’t go wrong a hybrid with pocket coils. They are the best, limit motion transfer and last if you rotate them correctly.
There are plenty of great brands. Go lay on everything in your price point and lay on them for 15 to 20 mins each exactly like you sleep. It takes that long for the foam to conform to you.

Go to Wholesale Factory and Mattress at 13565 Florida Blvd... they'll make you a mattress exactly how you want for a fraction of the cost. Best mattresses I've ever owned

This x1000. Get over the look of the place and just do it. Ole Billy Cheek knows his shite. Went with a Saatva after my previous Wholesale mattress flooded…all I did was waste money and end up right back having Billy make me another one.
Go with the “top of the line” for at least 50% less than everything mentioned here and don’t look back.

No complaints on the Nectar

Agreed. But I get mine made at Capital Bedding on Choctaw.
I’m sure similar deal though.
You can also just select one.

We recently got a Stearns & Foster Lux Estate after testing all of the popular brands- Dreamcloud, Saatva, Tempurpedic, Purple, etc
It's pricey but its the bomb. Gold standard for hybrid. King Koil was a close 2nd. Both are hand-made.
Whatever you do, don't get a Sleep Number. We replaced it after 2 long years. Felt good for a few nights then we hated it. Threw money away on that decision.

Same here. Jumped on the tempurpedic bandwagon a few years back. Replaced it with the saatva classic. World of difference.
