If you try to force anything now it will push her futher away. Tell her you are ok with her dating other guys and try your best to stay clean. After 18 straight months of staying clean give her a call as a friend. She might have moved on or she might not of. But whatever happens it would be best for both of yall. You will be a better man for your next lady.

It sucks man, as I was in the same boat. I was with my fiancee for like five years. Instead of pills, my drug of choice was beer. I'm almost a year sober, and I still miss her. Unfortunately for some people it's just not meant in the cards. I thought getting and being sober would solve everything and she would come crawling back to me. Not the case. I failed to realize I was a monster and I caused all the shite to hit the fan. She had every right to leave my drunk arse. I'm not sure this is what you want to hear, but the truth can be a bitch. Congrats on your clean time sir. Keep your head up. Sometimes we don't always get what we want, but we do end up getting what we need.
