That's a respectable GPA and a strong LSAT score already. My advice would be to invest in LSAT tutoring (Princeton Review has a good program) and see if you can bump that up into the 170s. If you can pull 170+ with your GPA, you are going to be able to get into a lot of great schools OR get into an average school with a very large scholarship (read: minimal loans).
So, if you go the law school route, you are in a great starting spot. However, I would say not to do it unless you really want to be a lawyer going in. I've seen plenty of friends go into law school as the obligatory "next step" and either wash out or (even worse) stick it out all three years just to hate what they do. Being a lawyer can be great if you have the patience and interest in the subject, but be sure it's something you want to do before going for it.

This is true if you do decide to go to law school and actually become a lawyer.
As a current 3L about to graduate, let me tell you what I know. In general the job market sucks. There is no way to deny this. However, if you go a top law school, or go to a state school, graduate in the top 10-15% of your class, get plenty of practical experience, and get on moot court or law journal/review then you should have no problems finding a job if you look for them are willing to go where they are.
You also need to weigh the cost of law school. Contrary to popular belief, a JD is not a ticket to becoming rich. If you work hard, and make good decisions you will get there someday, but don't expect to come out of law school and get a job making 200K+/year. Even the largest firms in my state start at just above 100K/yr and they don't hire very many people. Median salary for lawyers with 1-3 years experience is around 70K, give or take a few thousand in my state.
With your GPA and assuming your practice LSAT scores convert to an actual score in that range you should receive scholarship money. I graduated UG with a 3.9 and scored a 159 on my LSAT and received a full tuition scholarship from my state school.

I always see this on here. What white collar areas are free of stress, alcoholism, and suicide? There's a lot more to bring home with you at night being a lawyer, doctor, banker, etc. than being a welder.

This is me, currently at LSU law. Just trying to get through it and move back home. Finals obviously suck but it really isn't that bad the rest of the year. My job prospects are looking fine, it's the people who want the $100,000 plus starting out in a big city that can't find jobs.

Not a lawyer but the wife is about to be. She'll be finished in about a week and and already has a job lined up in a metro Atlanta District Attorneys office that she interned with... pending her passing the Bar of course. Jobs are out there if you do what you have to do.
She hasn't talked to me for the last week plus while studying though.

He's not really wrong though. So many people go into law school with the idea that they're going to land the 150K/yr job in a prominent big city firm and then get disappointed when they don't. Then they say the market sucks. I'm not to lie, the market's not great. There not just handing out jobs to every single law student, but if you really want a job and do well in law school a job will be there. You just have to look for it. I came to law school knowing I wanted to prosecute. I'm top 10% in my class and no one even remotely close to me in class rank is seeking a government job. They all want the big firm corporate job.

The difference was that when I applied for law school, the legal world was entirely different. Salaries were consistently higher, summer classes were larger, offer numbers were larger, partner tracks were probably shorter. But 2008+ just redid everything.
Nonetheless, if you're starting out for law school and talk to anyone (even this board) about a city and your objectives, we can probably pretty easily tell them what they'll need to get there. It's just harder than it used to be, and the payoff is less than it used to be.
