Kid of hard to drive anywhere without tires and rims.

Lincoln Police said a 26-year-old was arrested after she ran over a man attempting to repossess her vehicle on Thursday.
quote:
LPD said shortly after midnight, officers responded to Walgreens near 27th and Vine streets on reports of an injured pedestrian.
quote:
Upon arrival, officers learned the 33-year-old victim was attempting to repossess the tires and rims of a vehicle owned by Amanda Molby, who was behind on her payments.
quote:
The victim said Molby had not made a payment since April, and he tried to explain to her why he was taking the tires.
quote:
He was crouched down to remove the tire when Molby reportedly put the vehicle in reverse and ran over the victim as he yelled for her to stop

Molby then left the scene. The victim had visible abrasions on his legs, and Molby was arrested for leaving the scene of an injury accident.

And of course that's a hard looking 26. She looks 40.

I've actually seen this happen... In college, I worked for a rim place and we "rented" rims to people. If they got behind on payments we were required to go repossess them. Anyway, we were in the middle of doing this guys Escalade and he ran out of his house once he saw what we were doing. Forget we knocked first, called, and rang the doorbell. But he got in the vehicle and took off, ran over the jack we had set up under the vehicle and almost over the guy in the process of jacking it up. We had to end up calling the cops for stolen property.

Which is trashier, buying rims on credit or being in the rim repo business?

Who wants guess the value of the wheels as opposed to the car.

Isnt that sad? People care so much about rim's they even buy them when they cant afford them.
Is there a way to rent Jordan Brand sneakers?

I'm going to go with being a 26 year old white girl in Nebraska and buying rims on credit.

Man, even honkies in Nebraska are renting rims now!? What’s this world coming to?

It is fairly common, much like rent a center where you can rent to own TV's and shite. People would rent the rims where they paid double the price essentially and at the end of their contract they could keep the rims, or turn them in for new rims at a discount.

I don't get why business still even attempt repossession. Creates WAY too much potential for violence. Same with towing.

quote:Yeah, you're definitely paying more especially if it through the tire place.

I would laugh as they would come to get the $400 rims and then finance for like $50 a month, which would come out to $600 over the year.
Then at the end of the year they would sell them back for another $400 set of rims. Now they got $100 off the pair they turned in, so doing $300 dollar rims but would pay $40 a month and they would sell those same $400 rims for $400 again assuming they could clean them up nice. If they couldn't, they would put them up for a 50% discount.
