I posted a case I know about, and agree with the premise of the charges based on the girl still being a student, but in this case, she graduated and was no longer a student. By all the standards that our society has set, she was an adult

This feels like a guy getting hammered by the law where a female teacher wouldn't. I'd be pretty shocked if a 26 year old teacher slept with an 18 year old male and they locked her up for twenty.

Once she has graduated what is his power over her? If there was a quid pro quo, wouldn't he have had to cash in on his end before she graduated?

I could maybe, MAYYYYBE, get on board with a district policy that said you could risk losing your job if you get with a freshly graduated student but jail time in this case is wild.
