I read somewhere (actually written by a female therapist) that the perimenopause and hormonal changes from when a women is enjoying more sex to instances like in the OP does not nearly correlate to the actual dramatic drop off in the amount of sex being had. In other words the hormones were often easily robust enough where there could still be some drive.

Said many post menopause women with worse hormone levels have sex a good bit more. Basically claimed it wasn’t as much the hormones as other things.

Thought it was interesting.

I whip it out and spin it like a propeller. Gets the old lady hot and bothered every time.

Then what’s the point of staying married to someone? If there’s no intimacy of any kind in a relationship it’s time to go. I’d rather live alone.

Makes sense as 1 in 3 Americans are likely morbidly obese.

Exactly, and almost all of the reasons given for no intimacy make for a pretty miserable marriage, even with the lack of intimacy factor removed.

My wife and I had sex twice yesterday.

Married? Uuugh

I would imagine porn is so easily attained, that in a tough marriage, the guys just handle it, instead of dealing with some fat irritating wife.
Probably just as bad, porn teaches their mind on how it should be, and therefore they expect the wrong things in real life

A lot of younger men (younger than 30) have absolutely zero social skills or confidence to approach a woman or simply ask them out on a dating app.

Yeah physical appearance matters to an extent but most women will start to think a man is physically attractive if he’s just confident and wears clothes that fit. It’s the equivalent for when men have a few drinks and a woman becomes more attractive to them.

I’ve been married a long time. I can tell you that showing intimacy to my wife and her to me is important.

People can’t put their phones down long enough to frick anymore. As wonderful as the internet is, it comes with some serious consequences

That’s sad.

I, of course, would like to have sex more often, but my wife of 18 years and I average around once a week. We have some dry spells here and there when kids get sick or something stressful is going on.

But I don’t think I could stay married if we weren’t having sex at all.

One thing I’ve learned, at least for my marriage, is that good sex is my responsibility. If I wait on my wife to be in the mood, it’ll never happen. As Robin Williams said in Dead Poets Society, “Language was invented for one reason, boys – to woo women – and, in that endeavor, laziness will not do.” I wonder how many men sit around with their thumbs up their arse watching their wives deteriorate into nagging, fat hags and never realize it was their job to keep the spark alive.
