You have got to be shitting me.

So they are going with a mythical place theme.

Next year maybe they’ll do Zamunda. Or Atlantis

Registration to participate in the Krewe of Oshun parade and festival is now open. To ride in the official Krewe of Oshun float (only 40 spots available) is $300; admission for those providing their own float is $300; festival vendor participation is $200; and registration is free for non-profit and informational organization.

So there's 1 float?

I think it is because many blacks in America aren’t able to trace their ancestors back to a specific country of origin because of slavery. Most white Americans have it a bit easier because of intact last names and immigration documents, not all but most have an idea where the majority of their blood traces back to. I know those ancestry dot coms are out there for a hundred a pop but that’s more than many working folks can throw around. Being able to rally behind something fun and popular like the blank panther story and the fictional country of Wakunda is just easy. At least that’s what I think, but what the fruck do I know. Btw, I wouldn’t go near that mess. Honestly other then northshore Mardi gras I don’t take my family to any....

Ummm, that's not how you get people who don't already go to NBR to come to NBR.
Well, if the parade doesn’t do it, then surely spending millions of dollars on a new zoo entrance will work.

Yet a lot of “working folks” seem to find the money for a 1000 dollar phone......
