Surprised it took 20 pages for this noose story to be debunked. Of course the source will be denigrated rather than letting the pictures and video speak for themselves.

“We have talked a lot about the Mississippi flag,” Stenhouse said. “You never want to do anything to offend anybody on purpose … But it’s our state flag. I’ve always been proud to be from Mississippi and I’ve always supported or wore the flag on my belt for a long time. I’ve never really thought of it offending anybody, but obviously with everything that’s going on in the country (with) the rebel flag and learning really how it offends so many people, I don’t intend to do that. “That was just a way for us to make sure myself and JTG (Daugherty Racing) and our partners that we wanted to take an initiative to take that off before we felt like somebody wanted us to have to … we just wanted to be proactive and make sure that we got that off and didn’t offend anybody going forward.”

Not really a noose, but a noose, but not really

looks like the pull rope for the garage door.

I think that was already posted in this thread. Looks like page 13 or 14.

But there's still no confirmation that that's the noose in question.

I'd put money on NASCAR never confirming this at all. Just letting the news cycle die and only bring it up as "remember that time we found the noose"

Kind of like Lebron's house gate in LA.

SO Bubba Wallace never actually saw the noose? Does someone have a link to this fact?

Correct, he never saw the noose

According to the sports network, Wallace never saw the noose; it was first seen by a member of his team, who alerted NASCAR.

Rope swing? Go along the rivers and creeks here that people tube down and you will see nooses everywhere, when it is just kids making rope swings.

Those things can be dangerous, too. One summer afternoon when I was young, we were at the river, swinging off a bluff. My foot got caught in the rope, which tightened up, and my head was in the water. I don't know if you can call it a lynching, but it was damn near a drowning. Luckily, some friends were in the water and were able to help. Scary shite. I never used a rope swing again.

Thanks, I am on another board, that is much more liberal than this one. I brought fourth this theory, and everyone is like "just go ahead and call Bubba Wallace a liar, that is what you are really thinking!!!!!111"

So I asked them how I could possibly call Wallace a liar when he never even witnessed the "incident" in question.

I'm saving my judgement for this, but something tells me we're not being told everything. I'll wait though before I say anything on this issue.

When I joined this site, I lived in Fairhope. I now live in Birmingham but still spend a lot of time down there.
