Yeah it's surprising watching these, they are full of people that look to be mid 20's tops.

Were there pics or live video from it as it landed or just a live video of actors high fiving each other?

It was looking out towards the horizon so you could see what was in front of it. The second time they showed it you could see the curve of the horizon and the sunlight. All the specs on the picture were just dust and dirt on the covering of the camera.

don't look at the shite in the foreground, look behind that.

WOW. Just heard that the signal takes 8 minutes to reach NASA so as everyone was watching it had already happened eight minutes earlier.

Wait!

The SEC office in Birmingham has announced that the previous announcement of touchdown is under further review.

The average age of an Apollo flight controller was 28 years old. The average age of the controllers actually on shift in the control room when we landed Apollo 11 was 26 years old.

Flight control has always been a youngster's game. It just kind of comes naturally as a function of the cutting edge technology involved, the long hours required of the controllers over the duration of a mission, and zero tolerance for error over those long hours on shift.

Can you imagine how many safe spaces and crying rooms they have scattered around there for when things get stressful?

I did not know that. pretty incredible.

Congrats to US landing once again on the red planet. Hopefully we get some good camera feed and they have a windshield wiper for that camera display

That's being taken off.

But if it got stuck, we could just have a Marssican clean it, real cheap.
