That was so cool. I think we've only just scratched the surface on space exploration and information gathering. I hope there's so many kids watching with their parents and this moment reignites our seemingly lost enthusiasm for space.

I'm still amazed at how quick they got to those speeds.

They cut the feed and then the rocket was there on the ship. They couldn’t have a camera out there to show it landing?

Apparently a lot of plasma comes off the bottom of the rocket that always screws with the feed.
I'm sure they could have another ship farther away with a camera but its not worth the cost for a 5 second shot.

Sad that this is considered so special. Obama set us back a decade.

Party of science.

I miss being able to watch the shuttle chasing the ISS across the sky. You could see the bright ISS with the dimmer shuttle right behind.

I would assume Adam Savage... he liked the light of that show

Jamie Hyneman just seemed the type to where he wanted to get from in front of the cameras as soon as possible

Agreed.

One of Scruffy’s biggest problems with the Obama administration.

That's a reach. The shuttles were costing astronomical amounts to keep flying. They canned the shuttle program to devote the funds to researching a new system
