Not sure what NASA's logic behind going out of their way to make sure astronauts aren't having sex during an 18 month journey. Wtf else is there to do while stuck in a space shuttle for 18 months. Would be a good stress relief.

PSA: The headline is fake news

Probably a wise move. If you've ever seen the documentary Emmanuelle in Space you'd know that sex is pretty much all they think about up there.

Oh, there's gonna be sex. If those four women are the crew, they could sell the footage to help pay for the mission lickety-split.

babies in space don't sound like the greatest idea, if one got pregnant the day the voyage started the baby would be almost 1 before they return.

It doesn’t stop them from having sex. Children, on the other hand...

I agree. The "step" just ruins it.

Would the baby be an illegal alien upon the astronaut's return to Earth?

Just have the astronaut baw get a vasectomy before the mission launched so he can spray guts in space with no worries. Problem solved

They would likely just abort the mission

Gay guys still have sex, albeit anal. What gay women have, they call sex, but it's foreplay.

I think the fear is that someone might get pregnant.

Their period are going to sync and that’ll be a lot of red floating around in 0 gravity.

You don't have periods in space because there is no moon.

No matter who is sent, they are going to have sexual desires. Animal nature takes over.

They should send men and women though. With the purpose of trying to conceive on the way back and deliver back on Earth. We need to know how space impacts the reproductive cycle.

Whenever Moon Base Alpha is up, we need to find out how reproduction and delivery is like on a low gravity environment.

These are actual questions that need to be answered for future human travel.

NASA is a misogynist organization! Sending all those women to Mars to die in the name of science. Sickens me!
