Muhammad is super underrated.
Which one? The one Islam started crafting 200 years after his death to meet political and religious necessities or the real one we know almost nothing about? Because the earliest sources for his life, death, and sayings don't start popping up in the Muslim world until the 8th and 9th centuries. We have next to no contemporary writings from him or about him from either Islamic, Christian, or pagan sources.

Seriously? How exactly does standing up for Christ equate to screaming? The gospels explicitly address this situation.

He's very much is
He's one of those figures of history that's incredibly complicated and not necessarily "good" or "bad" which unfortunately our modern view of history doesn't deal with very well
Plus on the surface level most people just associate him with being a short angry tyrant which isn't really a fair representation of him
Honestly I think the British were assholes to him and their unwillingness to make peace actually caused a lot of the death and bloodshed Napoleon is blamed for

Very similar in absolute military genius. Stonewall's more so came out of no where than Napoleon though Napoleon did have a relatively humble upbringing compared to the elites of France

This is an EXCELLENT book I recently read about Napoleon. It was only written in the last 5-10 years and used some newly discovered material and I felt the author did a really good job of trying to be unbiased. He explained how a lot of previous history about Napoleon is based off of sources that are biased for and against him and of course it can never be forgotten that the British fricking HATED him so anything produced by them or from their cultural sphere of influence is a little suspect

You aren't standing up for Christ. You're attacking people for having a differing opinion than you. You're doing the opposite of what the gospels state. People such as yourself have pushed far more people away from Christ than bring them in.

Thank you thank you. You are too kind.
Napoleon the military leader is one of the most interesting. Mostly because he should have never had anything he achieved. He wasn't even French.
He was a no body who rose to be the leader of french replacing the king with an empire. Sure he over extended. Sure he screwed up with waterloo.
But he started from the bottom and became emperorer and very few in history have achieved so much.
I also agree that Robert E Lee was an interesting figure. But he over came a lot less. The most evil men in the last century all had interesting lives too.
How a drug addicted Austrian almost took over the world is amazing. Like napoleon he caused much suffering. Though napoleon like other beloved conquerors like G Khan are remebered fondly.
Even though they killed millions.
Jesus is likely the most inspiring figure with billions looking up to him for guidance over 2000 years.
But then half the world would say mohammed and i don't find his tales as interesting.
Oh and my being a downright arse too my ex only cost me a vehicle and 2 cats. She paid for the actual divorce. She is now engaged to a guy 10 years older, fatter and balder than me with 3 ex wives. So my confidence is thru the roof as every mutual female friend points this out when they tell me.

Absolutely incorrect. When someone tells the world that Christianity is a fiction, a Christian is OBLIGATED to share the actual Truth. I have attacked no one. I have pushed no one away.
You may want to spend some time reading the gospels.

Interesting how that seems to always happen. Pretty much every great conqueror pre 20th century is viewed in an at least somewhat positive light. A lot of these men had their armies slaughter numerous children, women, elderly, and sick people. They also raped and enslaved everywhere they went. Many because they wanted money, power, and glory. Yet they’re not seen with the same level of hatred
I know some people have argued the Nazis might be get the same treatment in like 200 years. Maybe not love them but put far less focus on all the horrible stuff and more fascination with the military and tech aspects.
But you could argue it won’t happen to the same extent because there’s a lot more documentation regarding WWII. Plus it happened in a more “modern time”. One which mass slaughter of millions of innocents isn’t an extremely common practice in war like it was for much of history.
Still as time goes on, people feel less strongly about the atrocities of the past because we become less connected with the people of that time

They were nobility.
They weren’t the wealthiest nobles or super important or anything, but he was fundamentally Italian and his family had decent means.

I will always stand up for Christianity, always. When someone attacked it like you and others on this thread, I will defend the Truth.
Complain all you will, but it doesn’t change anything. I do honestly pray for people like you and your compatriots.
May God bless you.
