When I had robotic surgery, the room looked like this. That was one hell of a machine.

I'm more happy the surgeon knew had to use it properly.

I’ll never forget when the kid who’s family were farmers got to describe the electrojaculator in Science class in HS.

Worked on one of these recently... does a bi-plane x-ray to see in 3D while working inside a patient.

Putting one of these in a room currently, hybrid cardiovascular surgery robot.

The vision tester is pretty damn cool though.

A cardiac imaging machine. My second to last EP study, I had to be awake for the entirety of the procedure. My doc put a monitor near me so I could watch him him scan and build a 3D image of my heart on the screen over the course of a few hours.

It was pretty neat watching it appear from nothing on the monitor and see him spin the image and point out things to me.

It was less neat however when he started the ablations and I was awake for them.

My wife has a partner that does hybrid coronary revascularization, the hospital has the most recent daVinci. Currently, they have a pretty tight patient profile as to who is a candidate but it is ever expanding. It probably won't be long before almost all CABG procedures are hybrid surgical/PCI.

The one I'm almost done with is an ARTIS pheno system. We expect that room is going to be used non-stop once it goes live.

The earlier one was a ARTIS Icono Bi-Plane, it's our primary early intervention stroke machine.
