My wife is seriously contemplating this move. I do not know much about this town. I need help.

where is the house located? If its south on LA 69, down towards Bruly-
St. Martin, it may not be as bad. But if its closer to town or in town, thats going to require some serious discussion.

Go drive there and see for yourself. There is absolutely nothing there and its not convenient to anything.

He said he drives through there on the way to Pierre Part. This is why, like someone else said, this appears to to be a well executed troll. No sane person would ponder this question after having seen the town in person.

My wife was born and raised in White Castle. She does NOT want to move back. That town's best days are long gone. We only go back occasionally for funerals.

You already live in the worst state in the country, now you're considering moving to one of the worst areas of the worst state. OUCH!

FWIW, Louisiana was once a great state. Historically and culturally the state is the most interesting place in all the USA. But hey facts are facts.

What's that got to do with anything?

I took my first clinical job at Touro in Nawlins. I loved the food, culture and history but saw the future for what it became and had to get out.

The girls were beautiful but the accent of some relegated them to short term. I left an LSU nursing student behind that I probably should've kept up with. Back then hotties we're ready come eat go.

hotties ...were easy come, easy go.

And now your a Gaytor living in Florida. Don't even try to pull an uno reverse card here either buddy. This whole thread is about my wife trying to drag my arse to White Castle on Friday to view a house. If you've never been to White Castle, then respectfully sit this one out buddy.

Why... da... fuq... do you think it's a good idea to have nosy arse family that close?

Not to mention, if you're the breadwinner, your ease of commute matters way more than the privilege of having to act like a near live in caretaker to an old lady out of guilt.

I'm a lifelong resident of Donaldsonville, and as shitty as my hometown is, even we look down on White Castle. Make of that what you will.

They got a committee to get me off the block
'Cause I say my rhymes loud, and I say 'em nonstop
Because being bad news is what we're all about
We went to White Castle and we got thrown out

That’s all I’ve got.
