Exactly.

As a kid I was bff with a kid whose family bred rotties (when rotties were the pittbulls of their era). No issues. I was attacked by my neighbor's German Sheppard once when neighborhood kids were playing and someone threw a rock that hit it while it was running under my legs. Nothing too bad happened and it wasn't the dog's fault at all, but had that been at my friend's house with the rotties (or pitts today), it could have ended REAL bad.

Is she just stating an opinion, or is she trying to sway you to actually get one and bring it in your household?

Stating an opinion. I bought her a labradoodle because I’d shoot any trash breed in my house. I just don’t want her to have a false sense of security around pits.

I have a pit bull mix and she's afraid of kittens.
However, she is indeed "high strung", so we know how to protect others and her and do our due diligence with her.

We're not shite head owners.

I dated a girl in grad school that had a huge Rottweiler. I was behind him one day (we were on the floor and he was kinda sitting in my lap) and I went to pet him and startled him and he flicked his head/mouth back toward me and one of his teeth hit my eyelid. Sliced it open. He didn't even lunge at me or "attack" me, I simply startled him for a second. I was bleeding but otherwise completely okay and laughing about it. But the girl was devastated and was like "I'm gonna have to put him down now.." I was like WTF are you talking about? She loved that dog but felt like any instance of something like that was a warning sign and she should put him down for it. I talked her out of it, but I think eventually he did end up biting someone's leg several years later and she either got rid of him or had him put down. He was a pretty great dog though.

The same Media that want's to convince you that guns are the problem. It's nothing to do with bad people it's the guns.

Insurance Companies and lawyers are just looking for any excuse to get more money. They way our system works, you are guilty if you have a gun or a pitt

I have raised one pitt with kids and had 3 different pitt's growing up that have been awesome dogs. My current pitt has been bitten by two other dogs and didn't retaliate. Believe the media if you must but I sleep well at night knowing my life experiences.

If any of my pitt's had shown any aggression to people or animals I wouldn't have kept them around.

My sister and son both had one for about ten years.
No issues with either. Were very sweet dogs.

You and the guy whose wife thinks cold showers after yard work are gross sure can pick them.

They'd better be pretty and freaks in bed.

I'm a short guy but was blessed down there but thanks for your concern. I've also raised Siamese cats but I guess they can be a little mean too. My bird dogs were really nice.

I rescued a lab a year ago, my vet said without the DNA testing $$$ it appears she may have some pitbull in her because of the distinct eyes. Other than that she looks like a lab. Sweet as can be, only issue is she wants to get in the shower every morning when my wife and I are getting ready for work.

A friend had a boxer that used that move a lot. He told every girl he brought home not to get in the dogs face. But several drunk chicks didn't listen and the dog would slash them with the one tooth to tell them to back off. I don't know how he didn't get sued by any of them.

I would not however own a full blooded pit, I think cerrtain populations have overbred them resulting in genetic issues and a disposition to agressio9n from instinct. Then put them them in a home with shitty owners is a recipe for disaster, but that is true for both any dog breed and humans as well.
