Also, I don’t know if you’d be in the delivery room, but if you are, I bet you get her something because your future son, whose sexuality is irrelevant, will have shoulders, and the snatch can’t tell the difference between baby shoulders and a chainsaw.

Good grief. Men have been giving their wives gifts after giving birth for ages.

You might as well start saving up for child support, ya stingy ole grouch.

hahaha let me guess: she'll also want to do a gender reveal. No, you do not get a present for giving birth to a child. That's not how this works.

You argue this with her and she’s not even pregnant?

Just take the L on this one

Not really an argument...I just simply asked what's a "push" gift and let my opinion be known. We are pretty good at disagreeing and I'm the best at getting out of trouble

I found out about it the day she was having our first kid.

My mom literally told me that it was a thing as she was handing me the gift she had bought for me to give to my wife

She is going to gift you with a child.

You're whining to the OT about spending $200-300?

Think about that for a moment.

To provide a "push" gift after having a baby, I told her the only gift she should need is the living breathing thing that she "pushes" out and if she thinks otherwise than she probably isnt ready for a baby and now I'm in trouble.

Have yall heard of this nonsense?

Yep.

My wife received a sapphire necklace - our daughters birthstone.

A son. I don’t ask for presents. But if I had, my husband would have done something nice. We are pretty nice to each other and that makes life a lot more pleasant.

It’s not an unusual custom and is a silly thing to melt about.

women literally created out of thin air at least a dozen more excuses to get gifts surrounding babies from gender reveal to prebirth support events to name picking parties

dont feed into or agree with the stupidity, but you sure as hell better not question it either
