To provide a "push" gift after having a baby, I told her the only gift she should need is the living breathing thing that she "pushes" out and if she thinks otherwise than she probably isnt ready for a baby and now I'm in trouble.
Have yall heard of this nonsense?
Edit: for the record, we are not currently pregnant just came up in conversation

Why do you care how your wife spends her allowance money?

If your wife is pissed about not getting hypothetical gifts, that’s not a good sign.

Tell your wife that her gift is having you on the hook for 18 years

Push presents are a ridiculous concept.
Customary as of 2012?

A push present? A baby moon? A gender reveal party? A baby shower? Jesus Christ. No wonder women get post partem depression. They feel entitled to all that attention and then all of a sudden all of the attention is on the baby instead of them. It is setting them up for failure.
That being said, you should have just said yup, and kept your opinion to yourself on this one.
